What is an Arm Lift?
An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that is meant to improve the appearance of the upper arms by removing excess skin and, when appropriate, reducing excess tissue. The procedure addresses sagging that commonly develops following significant weight loss, natural aging, or changes in skin elasticity over time.
During surgery, excess skin is removed, and the remaining tissue is reshaped to create a firmer, more refined contour between the underarm and elbow. Depending on a patient’s anatomy and goals, liposuction may also be incorporated further to enhance the shape and proportions of the upper arms.
