What to Expect on the Day of Neck Lift Surgery

Your neck lift surgery will begin with a review of the procedure, so you can ask any lingering questions to help you feel more comfortable and ease any anxieties.

You will be given general anesthesia to ensure you are completely comfortable and do not feel any pain. Dr. Economides will begin the procedure with discreet incisions behind the ears and under the chin to access the muscles and tissue beneath the skin. He will meticulously tighten the platysma muscles, remove excess fat, and trim remaining loose skin. Finally, he will suture the incisions closed.

The surgery usually takes 1-2 hours.

Months 3-4 and Beyond

Many patients can gradually return to their regular routine, including moderate exercise, within 3 to 4 weeks, depending on their healing progress and Dr. Economides’ recommendations.
