Your surgery will begin with the administration of general anesthesia, which will put you to sleep in a restful state of controlled unconsciousness. Dr. Economides will create incisions well concealed beneath the chin and potentially additional incisions around or behind the ears. He will target the tissues beneath the platysma muscle, sculpt deep fat deposits, reduce any enlarged submandibular glands, and close the neck muscles with sutures.

He will complete the surgery by redraping the skin and trimming excess skin, allowing the neck to heal in a natural-looking way once the tissue settles.
