What is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift (a thighplasty) is a body contouring procedure that removes excess skin and improves the shape and definition of the thighs. The procedure is most commonly performed to address skin laxity that develops following significant weight loss or age-related changes in skin elasticity.
Depending on a patient’s anatomy and goals, a thigh lift may focus on the inner thighs, outer thighs, or both. During surgery, excess tissue is removed, and the remaining skin is carefully repositioned to create smoother contours and improved proportions. In certain cases, liposuction may also be incorporated to refine the shape of the thighs further and improve transitions between adjacent areas.
