What to Expect on the Day of a Revision Eyelid Surgery

Revision eyelid surgery at Ikon Plastic Surgery & Medical Aesthetics will last around 1-3 hours, depending on the extent of the procedure. You will need to arrange for someone to pick you up from the surgery so that you can get home safely.

You’ll be given anesthesia at the beginning of your surgery to ensure you don’t feel any pain or discomfort. Based on your goals, areas of concern, individual eyelid anatomy, and any other needs discussed during your consultation, Dr. Economides will target the upper, lower, or both eyelids.

He will remove excess skin, reposition or remove fat, or tighten the muscles surrounding the eyes to address your concerns. Incisions will be placed either within the natural fold of your upper eyelid, within the lower lid, or hidden within the lash line of your lower eyelid.

You will be given some time to adjust in the recovery room after surgery and will be provided with supplies and detailed recovery instructions.
